Unlovable

I'm not really as down as that post title would suggest. But I had a lot of interviews and a lot of rejection last year. And some of it can be attributed to factors other than me, but I do believe some of it was something about me. Something that said 'don't hire her.' And I am not sure I've worked out what that was.

Which is kind of sad and kind of terrifying because I have an interview next week somewhere I would really love to work.

And I kind of feel like Charlie Brown kicking the football... the happy running part when he deludes himself into thinking maybe, just maybe Lucy won't pull the ball away this time. Maybe.

4 little fish:

  1. That really, really sucks. :( I hope next week's interview goes great and that you aren't as crushed as you anticipate if it doesn't.

  2. I hope it goes great too.

BTW - I TOTALLY have that same feeling. I have an interview tomorrow. I don't even want go. I just can't answer any more questions about myself.

good luck at the interview next week! i'd love to find lucy, distract her, and hold the football instead. i'd keep it there. <3

  4. I totally hear you. My job plans just fell apart and I am riding my couch enjoying my unemployment. Of course, I didn't start looking nearly as early as you are, so I know it will all come together for you by the time graduation rolls around. Remember, you don't need a job until August. Lots and lots of firms don't make commitments until the summer, so don't be surprised if you get a call from one of these firms in July seeing if you are still available.
