Calming the f*ck down
I just worked on two bar practice essays and was freaking out because apparently my issue spotting radar is broken. I was writing about the admissibility of character evidence when the examiners wanted relevance. I was writing about business records exemptions when the examiners wanted statements against penal interest. And who the f*ck remembers to write about the damn dead man statutes anyway! And can defendants stop pleading the 5th on the witness stand please!
So yeah, freaking out a little and I was going to sign on here and rant.
And then I saw Grace's post pop up on my sidebar.
And I am calming the f*ck down. Because she is pretty badass, and I think she'll come over here and smack me if I don't.

7 little fish:
Haha, that post was brilliant...although the car-hitting bit is extreme...it's that bad?
Dude - I agree. Calm down, man. It won't be as bad as you think.
good job. you will kick so much ass.
Also - enjoy the wearing of comfy clothes. I swear, wearing business dress every day, I am fully capable of looking back on the bar review/exam prep days as a vacation. "oh, remember that easy summer???? When i could sleep late and stay up late, wear shorts and t-shirts, go for a run whenever i wanted ...."
The days, I tell you.
yuvky yucky yucky. Bar prep sounds like the most horriible thing on the planet!
That is truly amazing timing... is it just freak-out time? http://lawmama.blogspot.com/2009/06/one-of-those-days.html
What's a dead man statute? Seriously, it's in my lecture outline and it isn't defined because there isn't one in my state. I filed that one under "don't give a shit," but I am mildly curious.
I feel confident I'm where everyone else is right now (sayeth the Bar/Bri answer key), but I'm still freaked out that I will have studied my ass off, I'll sit down at the exam, and it will be full of all the law I don't know, and I will fail epically. Kinda like my last semester of finals, actually. :P
