Notes from work club

I had a really tough month. There were a lot of changes and I had a hard time adapting to them. I didn't realize how much I appreciated some of me co-workers until I no longer had ready access to them.  I worked on some really important, challenging stuff in an area of law that I knew nothing about. I felt completely out of my depth most of the time and spent a good deal of time floundering. I've been out of law school for over a year, but it was like I had learned nothing in that time.  I handled it with all the grace of a rhinoceros on roller skates. It wasn't pretty. I was getting conflicting advice from people with more experience. I dealt with some interpersonal conflict with a more senior coworker, which in part arose out of the problem of the conflicting advice.  All the while, I was fighting low appetite, headaches and constant nausea.

Tough month. But, I got through it. I am officially done with my part of the project.*

And I am taking a long weekend with Clownfish. (Its the time of year for Bullshark to temporarily go away to serve the country.)  I plan to visit my sister and her family. I plan to go to a water park of some description. I plan to get some important family stuff done, like signing Clownfish up for soccer and getting the rest of his camp paperwork in.

But most importantly, I am going to avoid thinking about work for the next four days.

FYI: the MILP round up will probably be posted MONDAY JULY 5.  I'll try to make it worth your wait.
