Crowdsourcing

1)  How do I "break in" a softball glove?

2)  I need a new camera. Digital point and shoot, compact for ease of transport with kids, at least 10x zoom (because my current camera has 3x zoom and it sucks), decent performance in lowlight and for sports a plus, price point less than $300 (preferably with all accessories, like battery and memory card).  Considering Nikon Coolpix S8100 (on Amazon for about $230).  Thoughts, other suggestions welcome.

3) Eating pepperoni pizza while making organic baby food for your daughter: best idea ever, or BEST idea, ever!

7 little fish:

  1. I've always had Canons for point-and-shoot and love them. They have one with a 10x zoom that's about $250 on Amazon, and I'd imagine it has all the other features I love -- image stablization, low-light/night-shot setting, etc. I find the Canons to be very reliable for point-and-shoot cameras, and pretty easy to use, and the Elph line is very compact.

  2. I break in softball gloves by rubbing in some type of oil, I forget what kind but it comes in a small orange bottle and may be specifically for leather? Then I put a softball in the yoke of the glove and wrap the glove around it. Secure with a couple of rubber bands. Repeat the process ever day or so for maybe 4 days, then just play a lot of baseball/softball.

  3. I have a Canon 990, barely used, that I don't need anymore. Would be happy to sell to you for 200, which is less than used ones on Amazon. Have original box, cool cover for carrying around, etc., plus two chargers and two batteries. Let me know.

  6. I do the same thing Zach does to break in a softball glove. I also like to sit with it on my hand and open/close for a while while watching TV to mold it to my fingers.
